Gary Ow has just completed the La MaMa
International Screenwriters' Training
under the mentorship and tutelage of
Lynn Nottage (Pulitzer Prize winner 2009) and
Vincenzo Cerami (Life is Beautiful, Screenwriter).
Gary got his start as a comedy scriptwriter, coming in
Best Runner Up in Theater Idols 2009 for his first play,
Vampire Monologues.
Vampire Monologues is a hilarious, wacky screwball comedy
about a young bartender-turned-vampire who has to learn
to master his newfound powers to impress girls and fend
off evil forces.
Vampire Monologues also received awards for
Best Actor (Claude Girardi),
Best Director (Samantha Scott-Blackhall)
and Best Comedy*.
*Because well, it was the only comedy. Quit nitpicking. Quit it.
